With an area of around 20.500m², this is a place of leisure and a meeting point for fishing enthusiasts. It boasts a playground and kiosks, equipped with individual barbecue facilities and stone tables, for use at no charge when booked in advance with the Regional dos Morros (tel. 13 3258-5111).
Attractions
The bridge providing access to a stretch of preserved Atlantic Forest, ideal for hiking, is a sure attraction for children, who enjoy swinging on it. Next to the lagoon is the Santa Sara Kali Grotto, the first in the country dedicated to the patron saint of the Gypsy community.

Extreme sports
Enthusiasts can enjoy the 600m² skate park, in a plaza style, very common in Europe and the United States. It differs from other skate ramps in the city by replicating a plaza with ramps, steps, benches, handrails and other obstacles.

Mysteries
The Lagoon of Saudade is surrounded by mysteries and many curiosities – some believe it is the crater of an extinct volcano, and its waters once sheltered no fewer than three alligators between 2004 and 2005, all of which were relocated. Today, the lagoon attracts ducks and herons, which perform beautiful displays in front of the two fountains that help oxygenate the water.
