Municipal Orchid Garden

The Santos Orchid Park is a zoobotanical garden that houses native species, natural forest, fruit trees and a wealth of orchids in its 24,000m2 area.
Around 400 animals live in the midst of this exuberance, among them peacocks, agoutis, woodrails and tortoises roaming freely around the park, to the delight of children and adults alike. To complete the scene, there are rare species, some threatened with extinction, housed in their own enclosures.
Countless birds that enjoy the freedom of the skies are attracted by this veritable oasis. The internal access vivarium gives visitors the opportunity to be close to the birds, offering unforgettable moments of total integration with nature.
Inaugurated in 1945, the Orchid Garden underwent the biggest renovation program in its history, concluded in 2102. Among other attractions, it acquired the herbarium, orchid reproduction laboratory, sensory garden, honey and plant trails that tell the history of Brazil, as well as enclosures for toucans, birds of prey (owls, for example), cats and primates (howler monkeys and spider monkeys).
Let the beauty enchant you, discover your own scenarios, appreciate the sounds of nature, and make the most of every minute of your trip to this luxuriant garden on the coast.
